What is a
"chambre de bonne" ?
It is a independant room historically occupied by house personnel. Before the invention of the elevator the
"chambre de bonne" were on the very last floor of the buildings and
deserved by an independant staircase. There are usually no elevators to reach those floors, just a staircase.
Nowadays the "chambre de bonne" are mostly rented to students. Many are now equipped with some
comfort that goes from kitchenette and shower. Some have toilets and in others a toilet is shared amongst a few
"chambre".
You will find in all our "chambre de bonne" a kitchenette and shower. When possible we have installed a toilet.
